Important Notice

On any recording session, the readers should normally have finished by 2100, often earlier.  The readers have the easiest job as the engineer and producer have to stay until all the fluffs and inconsistencies in the recording have been rectified before it is suitable for copying the next day.  This may take up to an hour to sort out.  Readers should, therefore, make sure that they turn up for a recording session by 1845 to read their scripts so that the recording can commence at 1900.

If, at any time, a reader finds that they are unable to fulfil a commitment to a recording date, they should, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE INFORM THE PRODUCER RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT RECORDING.   You should appreciate that the producer will need time to amend scripts, running orders etc.   The reader should also inform me so that I can, with the producer, try to find a substitute reader.
